We can certainly incorporate deviations to selected styles. Frequently, these involve changes to the collar, the cuffs, the number of buttons, pleats, etc. To order such deviations, visit the collection of your choice and select the category you wish to order from. Select the style that comes closest to your preference, select the fabric and the color, and use the subsequent special request sections to indicate a change or customization request. These changes, updates and deviations are accommodated at no extra charge, unless otherwise specified. - What is a Bouttonnaire?
A Bouttonnaire is a button hole, also called a carnation hole, that goes on the lapel of suits and jackets. On men´s suits and jackets and on some women´s suits, this is a default feature. Should a bouttonnaire or a lapel button hole be required in styles where this is not a default, please specify it using the special requests section of the order placement process We can also do a stalk holder behind the lapel that will keep carnations in place. There is no extra charge for this feature. Use our Style Search function and type in the words ´Bouttonnaire´ in the keywords field of the search criteria to bring up styles with this feature. - What are inverted box pleats?
Inverted box pleats are when two pleats next to each other are positioned at the top to create a point that looks like an arrowhead. The pleats meet on the top and move away from each other at an angle. Use our Style Search function and type in the words´ inverted box pleat´ in the keywords search field criteria to bring up styles with this feature. - Can I order detachable collars on my shirts?
Yes. To order these, please visit one of our fabric collections, select your shirt category, the style and then the color. On subsequent special request pages, specific customization requests such as detachable collars, type of cuffs, pockets and so on can be made. This will then be incorporated into the order for an extra charge of $10. - What fabrics do you have in the Closeouts Category? What are Exclusive Closeouts? Deluxe Closeouts?
Closeout fabrics are remnant materials left over from custom garments we have made.
These materials, originating from large bolts, are sufficient only for one garment as displayed.
This range includes fabrics that are cotton blends, wool, wool blends, silks and silk blends and is offered as a pot-luck choice. These garments are deeply discounted.
Remnant fabrics are selectively available in very limited colors at discount prices to create space for newer fabrics. Sometimes, closeouts offer great values. Our Deluxe Closeouts or our Exclusive Closeouts carry single color discontinued fabrics. - What is a placket covered front?
Placket covered fronts are usually found on certain shirt styles, though sometimes it can be a feature in trendy, stylishly-long jackets. A placket covered front is when the front buttons are covered by a placket making them invisible. This is a flap that covers the button and runs from the collar band down to the edge of the jacket or shirt. Should this feature be required, please specify it in the special requests section of the order placement process. - What are the Reseller and Franchise Opportunities offered by My Custom Tailors?
